Where to find free drinking water in Italy
Tap water is free and safe to drink almost everywhere in Italy, and most cities keep hundreds of public drinking fountains running all year. Fontane Pubbliche maps 46,413 of them across 764 italian municipalities, so you can refill your bottle instead of paying for another plastic one.
